Meet Coneil Johns. He is Salt (‘Áshiihíí clan) born for Black Sheep (Dibéłzhíní clan.) His Maternal Grandfather is Redhouse (Kin ł ichii’nii clan) and Paternal grandfather is Edgewater (Tábaahá clan.) His home Chapter is Shiprock, N.M.

Coneil’s first position with Northern Edge was Slot Technician II and is currently the Slot Tech Manager. Coneil earned an Associates of Applied Science, Electronics Engineering and his Bachelor of Applied Science, Electronics Engineering from ITT.

“A favorite thing about working at Northern Edge Navajo Casino is enjoying my work. It allows me to be creative and have fun planning floor layouts, choosing game themes, game placement, and mentoring Slot Technicians with basic electronics. I partner with the NENC Slot team and get in a creative groove brainstorming gaming ideas that will work best for our players and also benefit the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise,” says Coneil.

He adds, “sure, it takes a lot of energy and time to do such things but the outcome is always worth it. Enjoying what I do is my favorite thing about working at NENC.”
